Defining Black Repair

What constitutes as Black repair? What are the frictions and connections between reparative struggles in the Caribbean and the U.S.? What do geographic frameworks offer to understand Black repair? These are the questions that students consider throughout the semester. Building on scholarship on Black Reparations and reparation policies from the diaspora, students are asked to design their own proposals for how the county, or any other site within Connecticut can implement practices of Black repair.
